The Power Division has asked all electricity distribution companies to open control rooms across the country in the wake of cyclone Sitrang.
In a separate order, it also directed the distribution companies to ensure the safety of the power establishment during the cyclone.
The office order signed by Power Division Deputy Secretary Shakil Ahmed has already been sent to all power distribution companies on Monday.
Cyclone Sitrang will lash in land Monday evening (October 24) and its centre will hit around 6 am Tuesday.
