A man riding the bike and his sister-in-law sitting on secondary pad with him were killed after being hit by a speeding bus on Kashinathpur-Dhaka Road of Pabna on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Forman Ali, 30, son of Ansar Ali of Bera upazila, and Mahbuba Yeasmin, 25, daughter of Jamal Sheikh of Santhia upazila. Both of them worked with a Dhaka-based NGO.
Officer-in-charge of Sathia Police Station, Ashish Mohammad Siddikullah said the accident occurred around 9pm in the Bhitapara area of Santhia upazila.
"The impact of the crash was such that the two died on the spot. The bodies have been kept at the local hospital morgue," he said.
