Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stressed that Tehran will not permit access to its damaged nuclear facilities, underlining that the country will continue to confront external pressure through strength while advancing its strategic partnerships abroad, Al Mayadeen reported.
In an interview with Iranian state television, Ghalibaf said that "the enemy understands nothing but the language of power," underscoring Iran's determination to maintain a firm stance against foreign pressure.
He added that Iran "will not allow, under any circumstances, access to the nuclear sites that were bombed and damaged," referring to facilities targeted by the United States during the 12-day war last year.
Addressing his upcoming foreign visit, Ghalibaf said his trip to China aims to elevate relations between Tehran and Beijing to the level of a strategic partnership, highlighting the importance Iran places on expanding ties with key international partners.
Ghalibaf's remarks come as Iranian, Qatari, and Pakistani officials continue efforts to implement the memorandum of understanding reached with Washington following the recent war on Iran.
The memorandum, signed on June 17 through Qatari and Pakistani mediation and followed by a summit in Lucerne, Switzerland, outlines a ceasefire across all fronts, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, the lifting of the US blockade on Iranian ports, the release of Tehran's frozen assets, and negotiations aimed at reaching a final agreement within 60 days, with the possibility of an extension.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran would not surrender to injustice, pressure, or coercion, emphasizing that the country would continue strengthening its armed forces, rebuilding its strategic stockpiles, reinforcing its economy, and expanding cooperation with allied countries.
Pezeshkian also said Iran's political engagements and negotiations are conducted in accordance with the directives of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stressing that all diplomatic contacts remain within that framework.
