President-elect Donald Trump has named his campaign manager, Susie Wiles, as his White House Chief of Staff, marking his first significant appointment following his victory in this week's election.
In a statement released Thursday, Trump praised Wiles as "tough, smart, innovative," and said she was "universally admired and respected." He highlighted her dedication to his campaign and expressed confidence that she would continue to work tirelessly to fulfill his "Make America Great Again" agenda.
Trump also noted the historic nature of the appointment, calling Wiles' selection a "well-deserved honor" and making her the first-ever female to serve as White House Chief of Staff.
