Finance and commerce adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed said they will try to collect information on money laundering in the meeting with International Monetary Fund (IMF) going to be held in Washington DC of USA.
A taskforce is already working on it, he said.
The adviser said this while talking to reporters at the secretariat on Sunday.
Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed said, “Process is going on to return the laundered money. I give importance to this matter. The laundering wasn’t happened in one day, so it will take time to recover this money.”
He also talked about the market of daily commodities.
Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed said that the price of eggs has come down and hope that relief will come back soon amid the tension of prices hike of other products.
