Awami League and its associate bodies on Sunday have observed the peace rally in the capital protesting BNP-Jamaat’s anti-state conspiracy and hartal anarchy.
Dhaka South City Awami League observed a sit-in and later staged a protest procession at Bangabandhu Avenue.
Awami League presidium member Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Shahjahan Khan, organising secretary Ahmad Hossain, Afzal Hossain, office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, Dhaka south Awami League president Abu Ahmed Mannafi, general secretary Humayun Kabir, among others, were present in the peace rally.
While speaking, the Awami League leaders said BNP has chosen the path of terrorism. That is why the country’s people did not respond to their hartal.
They also urged the partymen to get united to prevent the subversive activities of BNP-Jamaat.
Jubo League Dhaka South, Bangladesh Krishak League, Awami Swecchasebak League and other associate organisations of the ruling Awami League also observed sit-ins and staged processions in the capital protesting the hartal called by the BNP-Jamaat.
While speaking, Awami Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash said BNP does the politics of envy in the name of movement.
He said this while addressing a protest rally at Farmgate in the capital arranged by Dhaka's North City Jubo League.
Dhaka North City Jubo League acting president Zakir Hossain presided over the rally while Awami Jubo League general secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil, among others, addressed the function.
