China on Sunday successfully launched a new satellite, Shijian-28, from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in the southern island province of Hainan, reports Xinhua.
The satellite lifted off at 8:20 p.m. (Beijing Time) aboard a modified Long March-7 carrier rocket and entered its preset orbit shortly after, confirming a smooth and successful mission.
The launch marked the 611th flight mission of China’s Long March series of carrier rockets, continuing the country’s steady pace of advancements in space technology and orbital deployment.
