Bashundhara Kings’ AFC Challenge League campaign has been challenging, with back-to-back defeats ending their hopes of reaching the knockout stage.
On Tuesday, the Bangladeshi side lost 3–0 to Al Ansar FC in Kuwait, following a 3–2 opening defeat to Oman’s Al-Seeb. With two losses, the Kings are already eliminated from Group B contention.
Al-Seeb currently leads the group, followed by Kuwait SC. Al Ansar, bouncing back from an earlier defeat, keeps its own qualification hopes alive.
Bashundhara Kings will face Kuwait SC on Friday at 10:00 PM local time. Although the match won’t affect standings, team leaders Topu and Rakib are determined to end the campaign on a strong note.
The squad aims to challenge Kuwait SC’s defence, showcase their fighting spirit, and gain valuable experience for future continental competitions. For fans, the match offers hope for a proud finish despite an early exit.
