Bangladesh have announced their squad for the Hong Kong Sixes 2025, scheduled to be held from November 7 to 9 at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground. The tournament, known for its fast-paced and entertaining format, will see Akbar Ali leading the Bangladesh side.
Bangladesh, who reached the semifinals in 2024, will look to go one step further this year and claim their maiden title. The squad features a mix of youth and experience, with Abu Hider Rony returning as the experienced bowling all-rounder. Dynamic opener Jishan Alam, who was one of the standout performers last year with 152 runs at an average of 76 and six wickets, also retains his place.
Mohammad Saifuddin, who picked up three wickets in the previous edition, adds balance to the lineup. Veteran cricketer Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, with experience in 80 international matches, strengthens the middle order. Completing the team are left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan and pace-bowling all-rounder Tofael Ahmed Rayhan.
With an impressive 2024 campaign behind them, Bangladesh will aim to make history in the 2025 Hong Kong Sixes.
