Bangladesh lost their first T20 international match against visiting West Indies by 16 runs on Monday in Chattogram.
Winning the toss, West Indies opted to bat first. With the decent performances of their top order batters, they made a challenging total of 165 for 3. After the brilliant display from the openers, Shai hope and Rovman Powel exhibited explosive flair, scoring 46 and 44 off just 28 balls each.
Taskin Ahmed took 2 wickets for Bangladesh.
On the contrary, coming to chase down the target, Bangladesh’s top order collapsed totally. They lost 5 wickets in just 57 runs until Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Nasum Ahmed showed some resistance by scoring 33 runs off 27 balls, and 20 runs off 13 balls.
But, they just managed to score just 149 runs and fell short.
Jayden Seals and Jason Holder took 3 wickets for West Indies, wreaking havoc in Bangladeshi batting line up.
