New Zealand have won the toss and have opted to field in the champions trophy match against Bangladesh at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
After winning the toss, Mitchell Santner said: “We will bowl first against Bangladesh as it looks like a good wicket.”
He said that they trained a lot in different grounds, but there might be some dew in here.
However, they have two changes in the team- Kyle Jamieson in for Nathan Smith, and Rachin Ravindra is back in.
“Always good to play in conditions where you will playing an eventual tournament in the lead up,” he continued.
Bangladeshi skipper Najmul Shanto expressed his wish to field first, saying: “Would have liked to bowl as well.”
Bangladesh team has two changes as well- Mahmudullah and Nahid Rana are back in for the team replacing Soumya Sarkar and Tanzid Shakib.
He said: “The way we fought back against India after that collapse gives us a lot of confidence.”
