The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will earn Tk 152.50 crore from the second cycle of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the country’s lone-franchise-based T20 tournament.
With the conclusion of the sixth edition of BPL T20, which was held in 2019, the first cycle of the tournament was considered completed.
On 11 October 2022, the BCB invited full proposals along with financial offers from reputed companies, corporate houses, firms, and agencies for the title sponsorship and ground branding rights of the BPL T20 for three editions.
In response to the EOl advertisement, only one company named M/S Impress Mattra Consortium participated in the EOl Process and earned the title sponsorship and ground branding rights of the BPL T20 2023-2025 for Tk 16 crore.
The BCB also sold the media rights of the three editions for Tk 105 crore (Tk 35 crore per season).
The BCB will get Tk 1.5 crore each as a franchise fee from the seven franchises; Tk 31.5 crore in total in three seasons, reports Daily Sun.
