Bangladesh restricted New Zealand for 134 runs in the first T20I of a three-match series at McLean Park, Napier on Wednesday.

Bangladesh picked up three wickets in the first nine deliveries as Mahedi Hasan and Shoriful Islam struck three times to reduce New Zealand to three for one run.

Bangladesh XI: Litton Das (wk), Soumya Sarkar, Najmul Hossain Shanto (c), Rony Talukdar, Towhid Hridoy, Afif Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman.
