Star-studded Bashundhara Kings got off to a winning start in the ABG Bashundhara Federation Cup when they edged past Fortis Football Club Limited by a solitary goal in their opening group C match held at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj on Tuesday, reports BSS.
In the day's match, Brazilian forward Dorielton scored the all-important goal for the Kings early in the 11th minute of the match.
The Independence Cup holders Kings however got number of scoring opportunities but could increase the margin further lack of proper finishing.
Bashundhara Kings will play their ultimate group match against Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra scheduled to be held on February 6 next at Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.
