England posted a mammoth 337 runs against Pakistan in 50 overs by losing 9 wickets in their last game in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Saturday.
All-rounder Ben Stokes smashed the highest 84 runs off 76 balls while top-order batter Joe Root scored 60 runs off 72 balls and opener Jonny Bairstow scored 59 runs from 61 balls.
Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf bagged 3 wickets while Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Wasim Jr got 2 wickets each.
In response, Pakistan lost the first wicket in 9 runs in 1.1 overs.
Earlier, England won the toss and elected to bat.
