Hosts Bangladesh Women's Cricket team clinched the three-match Women's ODI Series 2-1 beating touring Pakistan Women's  by seven wickets in the series deciding 3rd match at the Sher-e- Bangla National Stadium on Friday, reports UNB.

Earlier, Bangladesh Women's team won their historic and first-ever Women's T20 Series against Pakistan beating them also 2-1 in the three-match series at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram last month.

In the day's match, Pakistan team batted first after winning the toss and folded their innings for 166 for 9 in stipulated 50 overs, featuring 65 runs in 19.2 overs in the opening stand.

Opener Didra Ameen contributed the match highest unbeaten 84 runs off 143 deliveries hitting three fours while another opener Sadaf Shamas scored 61-ball 31 runs with two boundaries.

One down Muneeba Ali (14) and tailender Diana Baig (11) were the other notable contributors for Pakistan reaching double digit.

Nahida Akter was the most successful among the BangladeshI bowlers grabbing three wickets for 26 runs.

Rabeya Khan claimed two wickets for 35 runs while Shorna Akter, Nishita Akter and Fahima Khatun took one wicket each.

Chasing a moderate target, Bangladesh Women's team easily reached their ultimate goal scoring the match-winning 167 runs for the loss of three wickets in 45.4 overs (with 26 balls remaining) featuring a record 125-run opening partnership.

The previous opening partnership record of Bangladesh in the women's ODI was 113 runs made  by Shuktara Rahman and Sharmin Akter.

Opener Fargana Haque contributed the team highest 62 runs off 113 balls with five hits to the fence and was adjudged player of the match while another opener Murshida Khatun scored 54 runs off 106 balls featuring six fours.

Nahida Akter of Bangladesh, who grabbed seven wickets, was adjudged the player of the series.

After dismissal of 3rd wicket for 128 runs in 37.1 overs, middle order Sonhana Mostary (not out 19),  captain Nigar Sultana (not out 18) guided the team towards their dream series victory over Pakistan Nashra Sandhu took 2 wickets for 27 runs.

Earlier, Pakistan team took a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODi series beating hosts Bangladesh by five wickets in the first match at the same venue last Saturday.

But, hosts Bangladesh leveled the series 1-1 beating Pakistan by Super Over in a nail- biting 2nd ODI also at the Sher-e- Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka last Tuesday.

The 2nd ODI between two teams rolled to Super Over when  Pakistan Women's team were all out for 169 runs in  49.5 overs to make a tie,  replying to Bangladesh's  total 169 for 9 in quota 50 overs.
