Chasing Sri Lanka’s 241 runs, Afghanistan reached the target in 45.2 overs by losing 3 wickets.
Top-order batter Rahmat Shah scored 62 runs off 74 balls while skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 58 runs from 74 balls and Azmatullah Omarzai scored 73 runs off 63 balls.
Lankan bowler Dilshan Madushanka bagged 2 wickets while Kasun Rajitha got one wicket.
In the first innings, Sri Lanka posted 241 runs in 49.3 overs by losing all wickets.
Lankan opener Pathum Nissanka scored the highest 46 runs off 60 balls while skipper Kusal Mendis scored 39 runs off 50 balls and Sadeera Samarawickrama scored 36 runs from 40 balls.
Afghan bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi bagged 4 wickets while Mujeeb Ur Rahman got 2 wickets.
Earlier, Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bowl first.
