Like many countries around the world, Bangladesh is celebrating Mother’s Day today with special arrangements and various programmes dedicated to mothers. On this occasion, popular stars from the country’s media arena shared their heartfelt emotions and gratitude towards their mothers, acknowledging their endless love, sacrifice, and support behind their success.
Popular actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba said that his mother has had a profound influence on every aspect of his life. He mentioned that his mother had been unwell for the past few days, but is now recovering well, which has brought happiness to the whole family. Apurba added that his mother’s contribution to his life is immeasurable. According to him, no words are enough to explain a mother’s sacrifice for her child. “For me, every day is Mother’s Day,” he said emotionally.
Celebrated actress Jaya Ahsan described her relationship with her mother as deeply friendly and affectionate. She shared that as she grows older, she feels even more connected to her mother. Jaya believes she is gradually becoming more like her mother in both appearance and personality. Since her mother was quite young when she was born, their age gap feels smaller, making their bond more like best friends. “My mother is my whole life,” she said while wishing good health and happiness for all mothers around the world.
Actress Bidya Sinha Saha Mim also expressed immense gratitude toward her mother. She stated that her mother’s role in both her career and personal life cannot be fully described in words. Mim said her success as an actress has been possible because of her mother’s love, sacrifice, support, and hard work throughout her journey.
Meanwhile, actress Runa Khan shared a touching tribute to her mother. She mentioned that although she herself now appears older, her mother still looks youthful and graceful. Runa praised her mother for being patient, humane, modern-minded, and self-educated. Calling her mother a wonderfully beautiful person, she prayed for her continued health and happiness.
Actor Abdun Noor Shajal recalled that his father was initially against his decision to work in showbiz. However, his mother and sister supported him wholeheartedly and eventually convinced his father. Shajal emphasized that his mother’s encouragement played the biggest role in helping him reach his current position in the entertainment industry.
Actress Sunerah Binte Kamal, who recently received praise for the drama serial “Eta Amaderi Golpo” also credited her mother for her achievements. She said her mother inspired and encouraged her from childhood, giving her the courage to pursue her dreams. “Everything I am today is because of my mother,” Sunerah said with gratitude.
