Bidushi Bornita from Rajshahi has been crowned Lux Superstar 2025 at a grand ceremony held on Friday at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the capital's Sher-e-Bangla.
The trophy was presented by actress Bidya Sinha Mim and Unilever Bangladesh CEO Ruhul Quddus Khan.
Nazah Nawar Binte Nurul from Pabna was named first runner-up, receiving a cheque of Tk 500,000, while second runner-up Amina Islam from Chattogram took home Tk 100,000.
Five contestants competed in the final round: Amina Islam, Bidushi Bornita, Nusrat Afrin Yumna, Tista Pal, and Nazah Nawar Binte Nurul.
After a seven-year hiatus, Lux Superstar, which started in 2005 and was last held in 2018, made a celebrated return this year.
The pageant featured guidance from mentors Jaya Ahsan, Mehazabien Chowdhury, and Raihan Rafi.
At the event, Channel i Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar announced that director Shihab Shaheen will make a web film featuring the winners.
The finale, beginning at 7:30 pm, was hosted by Mosharraf Karim and Arifin Shuvoo, with musical and dance performances by Xefer Rahman, Irfan Sajjad, Tawsif Mahbub, and Arosh Khan.
The event celebrated glamour, talent, and style, marking a remarkable comeback for the iconic beauty pageant.
