The iconic film “Dui Jibon”, directed by the late Abdullah Al Mamun, was released on 10,June 1988, and starred Bulbul Ahmed, Kabori, Nipa Monalisa, Afzal Hossain, Adil, and Diti. Its timeless songs-including “Abar Dujene Dekha Holo,” “Ami Ekdin Tomay Na Dekhile,” “Tumi Chara Aami Eka,” and “Tumi Aaj Kotha Deyecho”-remain deeply cherished by audience.
Among these, “Ami Ekdin Tomay Na Dekhile,” originally sung by Runa Laila and the late Andrew Kishore, continues to captivate listeners. Popular singer Doli Sayantoni has recently re-recorded the song for her YouTube channel. Written by Moniruzzaman Monir and composed by Alam Khan, the track has been newly arranged by Shamim Mahmud. In the film, the song was picturised on Afzal Hossain and Diti, while the new version features a duet with Ruslan Mejbah.
Alongside the classic cover, Doli Sayantoni has released a new original song, “Moira Jod Jaigo Ami,” on her channel. The song, written and composed by Rohan Raj, has its music video shot abroad.
Doli Sayantoni shared that “Ami Ekdin Tomay Na Dekhile” is one of her most favourite songs and remains popular across Bangladesh. She expressed her love for the track and hopes audiences will appreciate its new version. Regarding her original song, she said she was drawn to its lyrics and melody and is encouraged by the audience’s positive response.
She also hinted that more new songs will be released on her channel in the future.
