The highly anticipated horror sequel “Scream 7” is set to hit theaters this Friday, thrilling audiences in the United States and across the globe. Fans in Bangladesh can also catch the premiere on the same day at Star Cineplex.
Originally launched in 1996, the Scream series has become a cornerstone of the horror-thriller genre.
“Scream 7” marks the seventh film in the franchise and serves as a sequel to “Scream VI”. The new installment is directed Kevin Williamson, the franchise’s original screenwriter, who takes on full directorial duties for the first time in the series’ history.
The film stars Neve Campbell, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Courteney Cox. Previous installments of the franchise featured performances by Isabel May, Anna Camp, Jimmy Tatro, Mckenna Grace, Asa Germann, Sam Rechner, Tim Simons, and Joel McHale.
The story follows Sidney Prescott, now living quietly in Indiana, as a new Ghostface killer targets her daughter, forcing her to confront her past. Roger L. Jackson reprises the voice of Ghostface. According to Deadline Hollywood, the film is projected to post a strong opening weekend, potentially becoming the franchise’s second-highest debut after “Scream VI”.
After undergoing several changes during production, the film was restructured and newly developed. Filming began in January this year and concluded in March. Early forecasts suggest a strong international box office opening, potentially making it one of the most successful installments in the franchise.
For horror fans, the final week of February promises blood-soaked suspense and a chilling new chapter on the big screen.
