The much-anticipated Dhallywood film “Rakkhosh” is currently being shot in Sri Lanka, and star actor Siam Ahmed has finally revealed the identity of the movie’s heroine. Until now, the production team had kept her name secret to build curiosity among fans.
From the shooting location, Siam shared a still from a song sequence on social media, where the face of his on-screen partner was revealed-though his own look remained hidden. The actress seen opposite him is Tollywood star Sushmita Chatterjee, who will play the female lead in “Rakkhosh”.
Siam is known for being selective about the number of films he does each year, and he is equally careful about promotion. This time too, he is maintaining suspense by keeping his character’s appearance under wraps, while letting the heroine take the spotlight. The strategy has already created strong buzz around the project.
Earlier, Siam drew attention with a strikingly different look in the film “Jongli”. Following that trend, the team plans to release multiple new looks from “Rakkhosh” in stages as part of its promotional campaign.
Speaking about the film’s progress, Siam said, “About 80% of our movie is complete. We could have shortened it by cutting some scenes, but we chose not to make any compromises. We’re trying our best to offer something different to the audience, and I’m confident we’ll succeed.”
The film is scheduled for release during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. As soon as shooting wraps up, the footage is being sent for editing, and post-production work is already moving at full speed.
Shooting for the Mehedi Hassan Hridoy-directed film began in Dhaka late last year before the unit moved abroad for the remaining portions.
