President Mohammed Shahabuddin has removed Justice Khizir Hayat of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court's from his post in accordance with the six provisions of Article 96 of the Constitution.
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs issued a notification regarding this matter, although it became known on Thursday.
According to the gazette, the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has removed Justice Khizir Hayat from his position as a judge of the High Court Division on March 18, in accordance with Article 96, section (6) of the Constitution.
Khizir Hayat, born on January 24, 1967, completed his education at Dhaka University. He joined the Dhaka District Judge Court on August 6, 1997, and became a lawyer in the High Court Division on February 9, 2001. On May 31, 2018, he was appointed as an additional judge of the High Court Division, and two years later, he became a permanent judge.
