Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has urged the Muslim Ummah and the peace-loving people of the world to make a united effort to stop the brutal attacks and genocide in Gaza and stand by the oppressed people there, reports BSS.
He made the call while addressing an iftar-mahfil as the chief guest organized by Kafrul Thana Paschim Jamaat at Manipur School and College (Branch-3) ground in Shewrapara of the capital on Thursday.
Shafiqur called upon all to stand by the "oppressed brothers and sisters of Gaza", saying that in this holy month of Ramadan, all must unite to help the endangered people of Gaza with the fear of Allah and the teachings of Islam.
Kafrul Thana Paschim Jamaat Ameer Abdul Matin Khan presided over the iftar event while Thana Secretary Atiq Hasan Raihan moderated it.
Central Working Committee Council Member and Dhaka Metropolitan North Nayeb Ameer Abdur Rahman, Central Working Committee Member and Dhaka Metropolitan North Secretary Dr Rezaul Karim and Assistant Secretary Dr Fakhruddin Manik were present, among others, on the occasion.
