The Jatiya Nagorik Committee (JNC) has declared the abolishment of its current organogram, executive committee, cells and search committee, except for the convener, member secretary, spokesperson, and chief organiser.
The decision was taken at the 11th general meeting of the platform on Wednesday, according to a media statement signed by the committee’s spokesperson, Samanta Sharmin.
The statement asserts that the committee will not take any initiative to form any other party.
"The Jatiya Nagorik Committee will always work resolutely and actively in the interest of the country's political situation and the people in the coming days," adds the statement.
The membership of all central members joining the upcoming political party will remain valid until the party is announced on February 28.
Members who are not joining the party will retain their membership.
