The Bangladesh Nationalist Parties (BNP) a series of program covering all 64 districts of the country, beginning on February 11 and concluding before Ramadan.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement of the program at a press conference at the party’s central office in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.
He added that members of the BNP’s National Standing Committee and senior leaders will attend the rallies as guests. The schedule detailing which leaders will be present in specific districts will be announced later, he noted.
During the press conference the senior politician highlighted the importance of bringing those involved in July-August massacre to the book. He said: “To establish the rule of law and justice, the genocide must be tried.”
He said that it is impossible to establish justice by only arresting the accused, keeping them in jail and outside the country.
Rizvi mentioned that “ghosts’ of the dictator Shekh Hasina are lurking in the secretariat. He said: “They are doing everything in the police-administration-courts.”
“If strict action is not taken immediately against the collaborators of the fascists, it will be difficult to defeat Hasina’s accomplices again,” he continued.
