BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said as humans, our duty is to work for the welfare of the country, society and people from our respective positions and it’s very important for all of us to be committed to establish peace and stability in society by abandoning violence and hatred and preventing all kinds of injustice and cruelty.

Tarique Rahman said this in a message on the occasion of Christmas on Tuesday.

Tarique Rahman said, “The great Jesus Christ, the guide of truth, justice, peace and mercy, came to the world on this day. Therefore, this day is very holy and glorious for all Christians in the world. He came to further strengthen human bonds. A large group of people in the world follow the religion and philosophy of Jesus Christ. The essence of all religions is the search for peace, coexistence and humanity. Through the ages, great men have guided people on the path of truth and justice through selfless dedication.”

“They inspired people to build a collective happy life by destroying untruth and achieving high moral excellence. The great Jesus Christ similarly inspired his followers with relentless and sincere love for humanity. Happy Christmas is a universal religious festival. And the festival awakens the joyful nature of people. Harmony, coexistence and good wishes are at the heart of the festival,” he added.

He further said it is possible to involve ourselves in human welfare only if we can properly understand the philosophy of great men’s life. And only then will we be able to achieve the satisfaction of the Creator. I wish all the Christmas programs success.
