The Press Wing of the Chief Adviser has strongly condemned the defamation incident involving freedom fighter Abdul Hai in Chauddagram, Comilla.
The condemnation was issued in a statement from the office on Monday morning.
"The police and local administration have been instructed to investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice," the statement said.
Local police have said that Hai is a suspect in nine cases, including a murder.
Authorities have urged everyone to refrain from taking the law into their own hands.
