No obstacles are being created or there’s no barrier from the Election Reform Commission regarding the participation of Awami League (AL) in the upcoming national elections, said Badiul Alam Majumder, the head of the Election Reform Commission.
He said this in response to questions from journalists after a view-exchange meeting on election system reform at the Rangpur District Commissioner's office on Thursday afternoon.
Badiul Alam Majumder also said that the Election Reform Commission will recommend that a participatory, neutral and fair election be held with the participation of all parties.
He said everyone should have the opportunity to participate in the elections unless they are ineligible. The Reform Commission wants an inclusive election with the participation of all parties, and they expect this.
The Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, District-Metropolitan Sujan President, Divisional Coordinator and local leaders of Sujan were present on the occasion.
