Two more dengue patients died and 311 others were hospitalised in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning in the country.
The dengue death toll has risen to 551 so far this year. Of the deaths, 48.3 per cent are male and 51.7 per cent are female.
"During the period, 170 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city while 141 patients were admitted to different hospitals outside the capital city," said a statement of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of dengue cases rose to 99,295 across the country.
In 2023, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of 321,179 dengue cases.
