The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Mohsin Mortuza Chowdhury Tipu (48), Chairman of Zakiganj Union Parishad, in connection with a case linked to the anti-discrimination movement. Tipu, also the President of the Barothakuri Union Awami League, was detained at his home in Uttarkul village on Sunday afternoon.
He was transferred to Zakiganj police station around 8 p.m. Zahirul Islam Munna, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Zakiganj police, confirmed the arrest, stating that Tipu was handed over by the RAB raiding team. He faces charges related to an attack on the anti-discrimination movement.
