Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said the scenario of looting in the country’s financial sector is terrible. Many have tried to validate it. The chief adviser called these incidents horrific. These incidents of looting should come in textbooks so that the new and next generation can learn about looting.
He made the remarks while briefing reporters on contemporary issues at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Sunday evening.
A horrific picture emerged through a postmortem carried out by the committee on “White Paper” highlighting the state of the economy. After hearing everything, Professor Yunus said, “We are scared. This scenario of looting should be in textbooks.”
The press secretary said nobody will be spared who was involved in looting public money as the law will take its own course.
“It remains a top priority to establish justice and accountability for what happened over the last 15 years,” he asserted.
