BNP will hold a rally in the capital on Friday to mark National Revolution and Solidarity Day, with extensive preparations already in place. The rally is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. in front of the BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan. From there, it will proceed through key areas including Kakrail Mor, Kakrail Mosque, Matsya Bhavan, the Engineering Institute, Shahbagh, Banglamotor, Karwan Bazar, and Farmgate, before concluding at Manik Mia Avenue. Prior to the main event, a brief gathering will take place in front of the party office.
Extensive preparations have been made to ensure a strong turnout of both activists and the general public at the rally. Leaders and activists from the Dhaka Metropolitan North and South BNP, along with affiliated organizations, have been tasked with taking a leading role in the event. Additionally, BNP supporters from surrounding districts are making arrangements to join the rally in the capital.
Abdus Sattar Patwari, a member of the BNP's joint executive committee, told the media that the upcoming rally will be a historic occasion of remembrance. He acknowledged that previous events faced challenges that hindered smooth participation, but emphasized that this time, such obstacles have been addressed. Patwari expressed confidence that millions of people will spontaneously join the rally, ensuring its success.
