Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a man with three kilogram and 500 gram gold at border in Chapainawabganj.
The Members of 59-BGB arrested an Indian truck driver for carrying the gold under his seat.
The detainee is identified as Rentu Sheikh, son of Mafazul Sheikh, hailing from Mahadipur village under English Bazar Police Station at Malda in West Bengal.
Md Amir Hossain Mollah, commander of 59-BGB Battalion, said Rentu Sheikh was arrested from Shona Mosque area in Chapainawabganj at around 1:00pm on Sunday.
BGB recovered three kilogram and 476.2452 gram of gold worth Tk 2,68,75,213, he added.
