Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has said that the upcoming national budget has been prepared considering every citizen, despite the country’s limited resources.
Speaking to journalists at his office in the Secretariat ahead of attending a parliamentary session on Tuesday afternoon, the minister said the government has taken into account the needs of all citizens while formulating the budget.
He said no one will be left out, and the budget has been designed by considering people’s living standards, benefits, and challenges.
Responding to a question on rising inflation, the finance minister said that the budget reflects the “joys and sorrows” of all people in proportion to limited resources.
If everything goes as planned, the proposed national budget for the 2026–27 fiscal year is likely to be presented in Parliament on Thursday (June 11).
