Expatriate Bangladeshis sent over US$2.4 billion in remittances during the first 28 days of December in the 2024-25 fiscal year.
Of this, remittances through state-owned and specialized banks accounted for $782.27 million, while private banks received $1,631.36 million, according to Bangladesh Bank (BB) data released on Sunday, reports BSS.
For the fiscal year, worker remittance inflows from July to December 28 stood at $13.56 billion.
