In the first 19 days of October, Bangladesh expatriates sent home remittances totaling $1.53 billion, equivalent to Tk 18,391 crores, according to the Bangladesh Bank (BB). The exchange rate used was Tk 120 per dollar.
Bangladesh Bank (BB) revealed this information on expatriate income on Monday.
The data indicates that the daily average remittance during this period was approximately $80.6 million, marking an increase compared to both September and the same month last year.
In September, daily remittances averaged around $80.16 million, while in October of the previous year, they were approximately $60.57 million.
