The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 1,136 cases against traffic rules violators during a special drive conducted on various city streets of the capital, reports UNB.
As part of the operation, 103 vehicles were dumped, and 42 others were towed for violating traffic regulations, said Deputy Commissioner (DC-media) of DMP Md Talebur Rahman.
According to the DMP, all the traffic divisions conducted the drive on Saturday aimed to ensure better traffic management and maintain discipline on the city roads.
The DMP has assured that similar operations will remain continued to promote road safety and abide by traffic rules.
