A 100-member delegation from the National Defence College (NDC) visited the media outlets of East West Media Group in the capital’s Bashundhara Residential Area on Wednesday as part of its course curriculum.
Maj Gen Md Mostagousur Rahman Khan, a faculty member of the NDC, led the delegation which included other faculty members and participants of National Defence Course-2023.
Apart from civil and military officials of Bangladesh, 29 members of the armed forces of 17 countries including Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Nepal, Mali, Nigeria, Oman, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania and South Sudan have taken part in the course.
Bashundhara Group and East West Media Group Ltd (EWMGL) Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir welcomed the NDC delegation after their arrival at the East West Media Complex.
The team members exchanged views with editors and senior journalists of newspapers, TV and online portal of the EWMGL, a sister concern of the country’s leading business conglomerate, Bashundhara Group.
The programme was held at the EWMGL conference room.
The NDC delegation members came to know about the latest trends in media, media management and various technical methods of news management. Later, they visited the newsrooms of EWMGL outlets.
During the visit, Major General Md Mostagousur Rahman Khan said that they visited the media house to learn about the working methods of the media. "Thanks to East-West Media Group for providing this opportunity," he also said.
Bangladesh Pratidin Editor Naem Nizam, Kaler Kantho Editor-in-Chief Imdadul Haq Milan and Editor Shahed Mohammad Ali, Banglanews24.com Editor Jewel Mazhar, and television channel News24 Acting Editor Ashikur Rahman Srabon were present, among others.
