Bashundhara Kings roared to a 5-0 victory against Arambagh Krira Sangha on Tuesday to register their first win of the Federation Cup and surge to second in the table, reports The Daily Sun.
After two frustrating draws, the defending champions finally clicked, moving to five points from three matches, while bottom-placed Arambagh remained winless.
Kings struck early and never looked back. Dorielton Gomes opened the scoring in the 14th minute, powering home a towering header from Fahim’s cross following a corner.
The lead doubled in the 22nd minute as Foysal Ahmed Fahim calmly tapped in from close range after a pinpoint delivery from Rakib Hossain.
Sunday Emmanuel made it 3-0 in the 52nd minute, sliding the ball through the goalkeeper’s legs.
Dorielton struck again three minutes later, finishing off another low cross from the impressive Fahim.
Sohel Rana Jr completed the rout, pouncing inside a crowded box to fire home and seal a commanding 5-0 victory.
In the other Group B match, Police FC stunned Fortis FC 2-1 to climb to the top of the table, leaving Fortis third with five points from four matches.
