Six Bangladesh cricketers have travelled to Pakistan to take part in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), foregoing preparations for the upcoming home series against New Zealand.
On Monday, fast bowler Nahid Rana shared a Facebook post captioned “Eid Finish”, featuring himself with Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam and Parvez Hossain Emon on their flight. Rishad Hossain and Tanzid Hasan Tamim are also set to join them.
While the rest of the Bangladesh squad is due to regroup after the break for the series, the PSL-bound players will instead link up with their respective franchises.
Bangladesh are scheduled to play three one-day internationals against New Zealand on 17, 20 and 23 April, followed by three T20 matches on 27 and 29 April and May 2. A preparatory camp is set to begin on 27 March.
Mustafizur and Emon (Lahore Qalandars), Shoriful, Nahid and Tanzid (Peshawar Zalmi), along with Rishad (Rawalpindi Pindiz), have received No Objection Certificates from the Bangladesh Cricket Board to feature in the PSL from 26 March to 3 May.
