Bangladesh are set to renew the contract of batting coach David Hemp for another year, a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official confirmed on Friday, reports Daily Sun.
“We have decided to keep him for another year. But we are yet to finalize the contract. We will do that soon,” the official said.
Hemp has worked across multiple departments during his time with the BCB. He initially served with the High Performance unit before joining the national side.
He most recently travelled with the Bangladesh women’s team for the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier in Thailand.
Players were reportedly satisfied with his work, which contributed to the board’s decision to extend his stay.
