The Pakistan Cricket Board has tabled three demands in a bid to resolve its escalating standoff with the International Cricket Council, as uncertainty continues over the high-voltage T20 World Cup 2026 clash against India.
Citing sources close to the talks, NDTV reported the development.
According to the report, PCB officials raised the issues during a meeting with ICC representatives in Lahore on Sunday, days after Pakistan threatened to boycott the 15 February fixture in Colombo despite warnings of serious repercussions.

The three demands include increased ICC compensation for Bangladesh, a guaranteed participation fee for Bangladesh despite its early World Cup exit, and hosting rights for a future ICC event.
Bangladesh, according to sources, is seeking a larger financial share to strengthen infrastructure, grassroots programs and the national team’s competitiveness. The participation fee demand is aimed at ensuring baseline financial security for teams investing heavily in World Cup preparation.
The PCB is also backing Bangladesh’s push to host an ICC tournament, arguing the country is now equipped to stage a global event.
NDTV added that PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi remains reluctant to back down and is scheduled to consult Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif before a final call.
