Bangladesh may not be present at the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka but their fans will get some crumb of comfort through umpires Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid Saikat and Gazi Sohel who will officiate in the flagship ICC event.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday confirmed the match official appointments for the group stage of the marquee tournament, beginning 7 February.
In total, 24 officials will serve as on-field umpires while six officials will serve as the match referees, with plenty of experience among those appointed. Officials for the Super Eight and knockout stages will be announced in due course.
