The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has called a meeting of national team players with Professor Asif Nazrul, Adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, on Thursday afternoon in Dhaka, reports Daily Sun.
According to an unnamed source, “The meeting is scheduled for 3:00 pm at Hotel InterContinental and comes amid growing uncertainty over Bangladesh’s participation in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in India.”
Players have been asked to attend as the government seeks a first-hand briefing on the situation following the ICC’s rejection of the BCB’s request to relocate Bangladesh’s matches to Sri Lanka.
Professor Asif Nazrul is expected to listen to the players’ views and discuss possible next steps as discussions with the ICC continue.
