Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the original FIFA World Cup Trophy—one of the most coveted symbols in world football—has arrived in Bangladesh.
The trophy was officially welcomed on Wednesday morning at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
As part of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour, the event is giving football fans the opportunity to see the iconic trophy up close.
Previously, the trophy visited Bangladesh in 2002, 2013, and 2022. The current tour began in Saudi Arabia on 3 January and reached Bangladesh via India. This 150-day journey will conclude in Mexico, where the opening match of the World Cup will be held on 12 June. The trophy will be displayed at 75 venues across 30 countries.

Rules for Visiting the Trophy
Visitors must carry a valid copy of their ticket at all times. Touching the trophy is strictly prohibited. Carrying backpacks larger than the approved size, smoking, or transferring tickets to another person is not allowed. Sharp objects or any other prohibited items are strictly forbidden. In addition, entry into the exhibition area with the flag of any country or football team is not permitted.
The trophy will be on display at the Radisson Blu Hotel from 1:00pm until the evening today.
