Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead Rajshahi Warriors in the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League, with the franchise confirming his captaincy on Monday, reports the Daily Sun.

Rajshahi have placed their trust in the national Test captain, who has previously led Bangladesh in all three formats, despite having several experienced options in the side.
The squad features players like Mushfiqur Rahim and Akbar Ali. However, the franchise opted to hand leadership duties to Shanto, whom they signed on a direct deal ahead of the BPL auction.
The decision underlines Rajshahi’s confidence in Shanto’s leadership and long-term vision.
