New Zealand bowled out the West Indies for just 205 runs on the first day of the second Test, with Blair Tickner taking four wickets and Michael Ray claiming three.
After winning the toss, New Zealand elected to field first. West Indies started well, with openers John Campbell and Brendan King putting on 66 runs. However, Ray dismissed Campbell, while Tickner removed King and Hodge.
A 60-run partnership between Shai Hope and Roston Chase provided some resistance, but Tickner again struck, catching both Hope and Chase. The remaining West Indies wickets fell quickly, and they were bowled out for 205.
Tickner’s four wickets and Ray’s three helped New Zealand dominate, with support from Glenn Phillips and Jacob Duffy, who took one wicket each.
In reply, New Zealand ended the day at 24/0, with openers Tom Latham and Devon Conway still at the crease.
