Bangladesh cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim posted on social media, “Alhamdulillah for everything,” during the player auction for the 12th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Sunday in Dhaka, reports the Daily Sun.
Mushfiqur, who played for Fortune Barishal in the last two seasons and won back-to-back BPL titles, went unsold in the auction, despite being on the auction list.
In the previous season, Mushfiqur scored 184 runs in 9 innings at a strike rate of 127.77. Overall in the BPL, he has played 140 matches, scoring 3,446 runs at an average of 35.89 with a strike rate of 131.52.
For Bangladesh, Mushfiqur has represented the team in 102 T20Is, scoring 1,500 runs at an average of 19.48 and a strike rate of 115.03.
