The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) auction is being held today (Sunday). At the inaugural ceremony at the Radisson Hotel, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President and BPL Governing Council Chairman Aminul Islam welcomed all attendees and addressed the audience.
In his speech, Aminul made a major announcement: a women’s BPL will be launched soon.
He said, “We are planning to organize a women’s BPL very soon. It would be great if the men’s franchises get involved as well.”
Addressing the franchises, the BCB president said, “We will provide all necessary support, on and off the field, to ensure this BPL is conducted transparently. We hope you will also do your part to protect and promote the game.”
